Continued Education Credits (CEC) for Certification Renewal
AIMRRA certifications are valid for one (1) year. To renew, credential holders must earn the required Continued Education Credits from an approved vendor and pass the annual recertification exam.
Renewal Requirements
Credential holders must accumulate thirty-eight (38) Continued Education Credits (CEC) prior to the certification expiration date and successfully pass the annual recertification exam.
- Earn 38 CECs from the AIMRRA Approved CEC Vendor List
- Complete all credits within your one-year renewal period
- Submit your completion certificates before your certification expires
- Pass the annual AIMRRA recertification exam
AIMRRA Approved CEC Vendors
Continued Education Credits must be earned through one of the following approved organizations.
American Medical Association (AMA)
Accredited continuing education programs in medicine and healthcare.
National Association – Clinical Social Workers (CSWA)
Continuing education for clinical social work professionals.
Project Management Institute (PMI)
Professional development units in project and program management.
State Boards of Nursing
State-approved continuing education for nursing professionals.
CEC Policies
Please review the following policies before submitting your Continued Education Credits.
Approved Vendors Only
All credits must originate from the AIMRRA Approved CEC Vendor List.
One-Time Use
Each program may be used only once for credit unless otherwise specified.
Within Renewal Period
Credits must be earned within your one-year certification renewal period.
Random Verification
More than 50% of all CEC submissions will be randomly selected for verification.
Certificate Requirements
Each certificate of completion must include:
- Program title
- Your full name
- Number of credit hours
- Date of completion
- Name of the issuing organization
- Organization contact information
Ethics Policy
All members are required to complete their own continued education. The following are considered ethics violations:
- Sharing certificates of completion
- Sharing quiz or exam answers
- Sharing screenshots of educational content
- Sharing account passwords
- Sharing links to restricted AIMRRA educational content
AIMRRA reserves the right to refer violators to the appropriate ethics committee.
